Mr. John A. Nalezyty - President

Al was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario (when it was still Port Arthur).  After graduating from high school, Al attended Lakehead University and earned degrees in Chemistry and Education.  Subsequently, he taught at the high school level and for six years was a teaching master at Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Al entered the specialty chemical industry in 1981 when he was hired by a local Thunder Bay company.  While his initial focus included process chemicals for the pulp and paper industry, Al was also heavily involved in the adaptation of technologies from this sector to other, non-paper, applications.  This growth area led to him being assigned the task of opening new corporate offices in both Winnipeg and Calgary.  In 1991 Al became involved in municipal water treatment programmes throughout Southern Alberta and oversaw the growth and development of polyaluminum chloride technology in the Province.  In keeping with the Klearwater Corporate mission statement, 16 years of successful customer relationships continue to flourish and remain based on a strong technical presence and a vicarious concern for the production of high quality drinking water for all Albertans.
